In a not too-distant post-apocalyptic future, Dr. Lara Stern, a quirky molecular geneticist unexpectedly awakens in her bunker, unable to move. She soon discovers that an alien named Jeth‘ra kidnapped her, claiming they know each other. As Lara attempts to escape, she finds herself drawn to Jeth‘ra story.
